Situated in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead, Oxygen is a beautifully renovated 9 bedroom residential detox & rehab facility. Furnished to a high standard and offering individual rooms with shared bathrooms, kitchen and living facilities, Oxygen provides an environment designed to support Recovery.
Offering an integrative & holistic treatment pathway for those challenged by problematic Drug and/or Alcohol misuse, Oxygen offers 5 stages to recovery and is designed to be flexible and tailored to individual needs:
Residential detox at Oxygen is tailored to meet your individual needs. Upon arrival, you will be assessed by a specialist Doctor who will prescribe a medically assisted detox programme ranging from 2 weeks (alcohol dependant) to 3 months (opiate/ benzodiazepines/ stimulants/ poly drug & alcohol dependant). Oxygen is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring that support is on hand at all times.
Supported Housing & Floating Support
Supported housing is available for those who would like a ‘fresh start’ in the local area. Oxygen has access to short or longer term accommodation and our Floating Support Team will assist you in resettling into your new home and the wider community.
Residential rehab at Oxygen provides a structured programme of therapeutic interventions and key approaches such as Group Work, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focussed Therapy and Complimentary Therapies such as Auricular Acupuncture, Relaxation and Reiki. Counselling is also provided to help with specific issues such as bereavement, abuse & co-dependency. Typically, this stage of treatment lasts up to 12 weeks (detox time included).
Oxygen provides free aftercare for all exiting treatment for as long as required, comprising group work, 1-1 and telephone support
Residential Move On
Oxygen residential ‘move on’ is delivered via ‘Quasi’ living at our 5 bedroom property nearby. You will engage in a tailored programme of on-going support combining Group Work, Voluntary Work, ETE (education, training & employment), Mutual Aid and other opportunities designed to help build your recovery capital. You will be encouraged & supported to take responsibility for yourself and your peers, growing & nurturing a supportive peer network ready for reintegration into the community. Typically, this stage of treatment lasts for a further 12 weeks.
Friends & Family Support
Oxygen also recognises the impact that someones substance misuse can have on friends & family members, and is committed to providing support via our free Friends & Family Programme.
